Small Business Saturday

Anyone who has followed or shopped with us over time may have noticed we don’t indulge Black Friday. We also rarely have special offers and have had never had a sale. The reason for this is that we sell hand made goods by artists who work very hard to make a living. Our goods are not made under slave conditions in China or elsewhere and cannot be re-ordered at the drop of a hat from a warehouse. I think out prices are fair and I know our quality is excellent and our style unique.

If you heard my interview on the radio last week you would have heard me talk about the importance of small independent businesses to our communities and high street. Because we are small and lean we are able to adapt and change to meet the needs of our customers and community. Next Saturday is the annual celebration of everything great about all small independent business. I hope you will all show one small business some support that day, as this year has been crushing for many.

I apologise for not having a list of lovely links for you, but I just can’t find the time at the moment, with the demands of running the shop, study and working my way through my list of commissions. I shall do my best to create a Christmas one though.

New Fair trade Stock

The photo shows a sample of some of the new items that arrived yesterday. The sisal baskets are lovely and quite big, they will be priced at £10.99. The cloth boxes are delightful and will be £6.99. The wooden boxes are fabulous with screen printed lids ranging from £6.99 to £9.99. They are not yet on the website, but will be before Thursday.

Stay Safe & Well
